Margaret and Derek recently took a day off to paddle at Langebaan, visiting Nick and his new Eco-Bezhig and Stuart in his trusty Paddleyak Solo. |

Members of the Paddle Club recently participated in the #A38D7E Regatta Rowing competition civilian challenge. We came a creditable second in a group of 6. It's a very different thing from kayaking (you can't see where you're going!) and having only practised twice before the race I guess second aint so bad. No idea how many times those behind us had rowed but apparently the winners won last year as well. So the gauntlet has been laid down for 2005. |

If you've been out lately- early September that is - you would have seen these amazing red jellyfish in huge numbers, certainly there must be hundreds of thousands of them in the bay - possibly millions. |

Calm days are returning and the seals are starting to follow the boats. Over the years of paddling around Simon's Town I have noted that this activity is usually confined to winter, has anyone else noticed this? |

The Wednesday evening paddle on July 14th 2004 was a stunner. Calm, clear, a bit of surf through the lighthouse and a beatiful sunset made for a marvellous trip. |
